Roberto Verganti, a Professor from Management of Innovation at Politecnico di Milano and currently a visiting Professor at Harvard Business School, will present results from his research on Design Driven Innovation. RISD AND ITALIAN TRADE COMMISSION
Students in RISD’s Apparel Design and Textiles departments are pairing up for a garment design project supported by the Italian Trade Commission (ITC) and nearly 20 Italian fabric and yarn mills. In the fall semester studio course, teams of students from the two departments are using fine Italian materials to create small collections around the guiding theme of global travel.

Since 1999, the Innovation Studio series at Rhode Island School of Design [RISD] has been examining difficult large-scale environmental and infrastructure problems, working to shift the attention of the design disciplines to present-day concerns, and working with a larger public to solve those challenges.

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Target Corporation have partnered to engage in a project focused on investigating new design opportunities based on experience, services and products. This project is sponsored by the Division of Graduate Studies at RISD and explores new models and structures for design research.

THE STORYHAT JOINS CDB
The Center for Design and Business is pleased to welcome The Story Hat. Founders Rob Travalino and Kevin Mowrer, former Hasbro employees launched the company in late 2001 and have since created several story based media properties. The most notable Story Hat property to date, the Dragon Booster animation series was recently ranked the number one boy's action animation series and is distributed to over 46 countries.
